This place is very near to San Diego, so for a little get away, this is a must go! There are a bunch of little (little? This thing rivals anything in Vegas) tribal casinos around here. The restaurants were beautiful and if the food is as good as it looks, you're in for a treat. Ride in comfort to Sycuan in one of our free daily casino shuttle buses. However, I saw the hotel pool and it is GORGEOUS, so come stay and take a dip. I bet it is not quite so lovely in August. Of course, it is late spring so there is grass. I'm currently looking out over a huge meadow with cows in it. ![]() There are outlet stores across the street and everything is lovely. The staff at the hotel & casino were amazingly friendly and competent, the machines were laid out great. I did not get to play the quarter slots because the entire bank was lit up, but that's not the casino's fault, it is the smokers. The casino has a HUGE area of non smoking, and the rest is not that bad. Who doesn't like free? It is in a lot way back of the property, but there is a shuttle that runs all the time. ![]() Alternatively, you can take a vehicle from Chula Vista to Viejas Arena via 12th & Imperial Station and SDSU Station in around 1h 12m. Tickets cost 1 - 5 and the journey takes 49 min. I came here in my RV, for which they have free parking. San Diego Metro Transit operates a bus from 8th Street Transit Center to Montezuma Rd & 55th St every 30 minutes.
